Ungaro Press Day FW25: A Spark Rekindled
There are collections that whisper, collections that seduce, and then there are collections that reignite. Ungaro’s Fall/Winter 2025 show, under the creative direction of Kobi Halperin, belongs firmly in the last category.
Halperin has always had a gift for honoring heritage while breathing life into the present. At Ungaro, he has managed the near-impossible: taking the brand’s storied DNA – its unapologetic glamour, its Parisian sensuality – and infusing it with a modernity that feels both effortless and exhilarating.
This season, the spark was unmistakable. Tailoring was precise but fluid, silhouettes confident without ever tipping into costume. The palette moved between deep jewel tones and quiet neutrals, allowing texture and detail to carry the drama. Embroidery shimmered like whispers of light, never shouting for attention but demanding it all the same. And then there were the fabrics: velvets that felt regal, silks that seemed to slip like liquid, and wools that grounded the collection with gravitas.
What struck me most was the balance – refinement hand-in-hand with joy. These were not clothes to be admired from afar; they were clothes to be lived in, danced in, perhaps even adored in. In Halperin’s hands, Ungaro feels less like a house revisiting its past and more like one rewriting its future.
In the room, there was a current – an energy that pulsed through editors, models, and guests alike. You could feel it: Ungaro was not just back on Avenue Montaigne, it was back in the conversation.
For me, the true beauty of the collection lay in its clarity. Every piece felt intentional, every look told a story. And in a fashion week filled with noise, spectacle, and fleeting trends, clarity is perhaps the rarest luxury of all.
Ungaro Fall/Winter 2025 wasn’t just a collection – it was a statement. A reminder that when craftsmanship, vision, and heart converge, fashion has the power to spark not only the imagination, but also the soul.
